Why We Tacos

Before we tell you about our tacos, Simmzy's would like to rattle off some taco facts. To set the mood, you know?

01.In some countries, tacos are seen as an obligatory housewarming gift, because taco shells traditionally symbolize the shell of your new home.

02.In addition, tacos are inherently magnetic. While their platter positioning is seemingly random, they're actually always aligned with the poles of the Earth depending on the current lunar phase.

03.Did you know that people were created with two hands so that each one could hold a taco?

04.A large, hand-carved taco was originally meant to be the seventh Wonder of the World, but an earthquake disrupted the tortilla shell limestone, and the project was never completed.

05.Most crazy is that Tuesday was originally called "Huesday," but in 1974, the world decided we needed a taco day. Thursday was already thematically taken, so they literally renamed Huesday to Tuesday for the sake of alliteration in the phrase "Taco Tuesday." There was a whole convention.

Do these sound ridiculous? Probably. But are they true? Maybe.

Chilli and Cumin Spiced Beef Tacos

Yeah, you've had beef tacos before, but have you had one from Simmzy's? These aren't ordinary beef tacos, oh no, no. Our beef is specially spiced with chili and cumin for a well-rounded palatal kick. Trust us, every part of your mouth will be saying, "Ooh, nice." Then, we add pico de gallo, red cabbage, crema, and lime. All of this gets tucked into a fresh-baked soft corn tortilla, just for you.

Pork Shoulder Carnitas Tacos

Our pork shoulder carnitas taco will never give you the cold shoulder. In fact, we specifically make sure your flour tortilla is warmed up. Inside is locally-farmed pork shoulder carnitas. We top it with lime salsa verde and jardin. Jardin means "garden," which essentially refers to the veggies that no taco would be complete without. Hand-picked and freshly grown, our jardin includes cilantro and onions. This Spanish-inspired taco is sure to have you ordering another.

Blackened Local Rock Cod Tacos

What if we told you we caught this fish ourselves? That would be pretty impressive, right? Well, we didn't. (Sorry.) But we know who did! Our blackened rock cod is caught locally, and hand-delivered right to your neighborhood Simmzy's. We cook it juuuust right, place it in a soft corn tortilla, and then add toppings. Roasted salsa rojo, cream, and cilantro finish off this beachy taco. It doesn't get fresher than that.

Roasted Cali-Flower Tacos

Here at Simmzy's, we're not bandwagoners. However...this cauliflower stuff is pretty good, we're not gonna lie. Vegetarian, vegan, or just really hooked on the cauliflower-trend, our Roasted Cali-Flower taco is perfect for anyone. We start with our classic soft corn tortilla. Inside, our famous roasted cauliflower. To top it all off, we add creamy gauc, lime, and chilli pickle - for a kick. It's not a traditional taco, but that's what makes it so great.

Grilled Diablo Shrimp Rojo Tacos

We're going to be real with you here: this taco isn't for the faint of heart. Did you think we couldn't pack a taco with flavor and kick? Oh man, do we have a surprise for you. The outside of this taco is pretty typical: soft corn tortilla. But that's where the similarities end. This taco is packed with spicy grilled shrimp, roasted salsa rojo, cream, and cilantro. The end result is a taco that embodies warm summer days.

Grilled Chicken Tacos

Our grilled chicken taco is a classic, and it's easy to see why. We start with a flour tortilla (warmed - of course) and add freshly grilled chicken. On top, we dress up this fan-favorite taco with salsa verde, queso fresco, and red onion pickle. And of course, there's cilantro. Why? For garnish. And taste. We love a multifaceted spice. Ultimately, this taco might be a classic, but it's anything but ordinary. Dig in. We dare ya.
